At Pleasant Hill you’ll find a camp home where you not only have a blast but you can learn new things, meet new friends, and discover the spirit of adventure, inside of you. During the day, you’ll find activity areas for almost every interest including lake sports, performing arts, marksmanship, action sports, outdoor living, crafts and more all of which will teach you new skills and develop your confidence. Programs include Adventure Camp, Horselovers Camp, Wilderness Camp and Whitewater Adventure trips. Carefully selected and trained staff accompany campers at all times at a 1/6 ratio to give your camper the attention they deserve. We’ll close out each day at fireside with great skits songs and music, and with a look at how God loves each of us. You’ll get to know God in a new and fresh way, and learn that He loves you for who you are without condition or limitation! At Pleasant you’ll find a warm feeling that comes from our special brand of camping, a place where you can shine from the inside out!

The Foster Scholarship is a full-tuition, merit scholarship that includes room and board, required fees, and uniforms. Preference will be given to those candidates qualifying for financial aid and those residing in Ohio.

The scholarship is renewable annually. Recipients who continue to excel academically, as a camp leader, and in activities will realize a total value in excess of $15,000 over three summers at Culver.

To be considered, applicants must have previously demonstrated excellence in academics, citizenship and character.

Each scholarship recipient is expected to exemplify leadership in his or her cabin and to be in good citizenship standing while attending Woodcraft Camp and to report in September to the Foster family on his or her Woodcraft experience.

A special added component of the Foster Scholarship will be the opportunity for recipients to attend a designated leadership conference during the school year to be determined on an individual basis for each recipient. The Foster Scholarship is open to campers who have displayed academic, citizenship, and character excellence, and who have been admitted to the Cardinal or Beaver level (ages 11-13) of Culver Woodcraft Camp.

Culver’s Foster Family Woodcraft Scholarship is open to outstanding students. Competition for the Foster Scholarship will be keen. It is recommended that students apply for admission to Woodcraft Camp and submit their Foster Scholarship application well before the deadline. Applicants must be accepted for admittance to Woodcraft Camp before they will be considered for the Foster Scholarship. The Foster family’s generous gift to Culver will provide scholarship recipients the opportunity to learn, grow, and mature in an international educational environment with campers from around the world.
